For a dog like me, I have a great life. My human has a home office doing something at a desk all day, so she's always around to take me out or give me treats or play. That's me under the desk in the picture up there. I like to help out when I can. I'm glad I'm on this site now because all the other guys are, and I have to keep up. Thanks for looking at my photos! Keep those comments coming!

Heelers are not common around my area in the States. Their official name is Australian Cattle Dog, and they were originally bred to in Australia to herd cattle by crossing the Dingo and the smooth-coated Collie.
When they herd, they bite the heels of the cattle, thus the name "Heeler".
They come in Blue Merle and Red, a light reddish tan, but most people I've met only know of the Blue Heeler.
Scout's a cross between a blue and a red. I call her a Purple Heeler :) She's the best dog I ever had!
